Leave them out of battle until the enemy are fleeing then let them loose so they can still level up. Fight in lots of arenas, and even if you die early, let them keep fighting so they level up combat skills without risk of dying. Give them good armour. #4. Twitch.tv/KAEN_SG Jan 14, 2021 @ 3:48am.

The Sturgians are based on the federation of city-states known as Kievan Rus, Other wise know as Ukrainian Kingdom and or Ukrainian Empire. Doing this will earn you leadership skill points faster which you will need. At some point, when you are ready, a castle somewhere will be captured leaving it weakly defended. I hardly ever use companions for governors. I always use family members because they have more good stats. The exceptions for using companions -- If I need a governor of a certain culture and I do not have a family member handy, I'll hire a companion of the same culture, and if I have a castle I won't waste a family member but will use a companion.
